Real Talk: United We Stand
Sunday, October 8th, 3-4:30 pm
As our world elevates daily to a new level of disruption, more and more people are waking to the reality of injustice and exclusion. But just as these truths are revealed, each day also brings a new opportunity to band together in unity and in community. As more folks arrive into the circle of awakening, we must make time to hear each other’s stories, recognize who it is we’re standing up with and for. We must make space to not only understand the ways we are similar but also honor the ways we are not.
Join Jojo and Carrington in a mindful and heartfelt conversation about race and what it means to truly be in community with one another. Through listening and sharing we’ll create a pathway towards understanding and connection. As the great poet and activist Maya Angelou said, “When you know better, you do better.” Our knowing is the fuel for our action and our connection is the support needed in the journey ahead so that everyone can feel seen, heard and valued.
