This month our trainer spotlight is on Amanda Dismukes.
Making fitness fun has always been part of Amanda Dismukes daily life. Growing up in Massachusetts in an athletic family she developed a love for sports, physical fitness, and the outdoors. That passion has continued to evolve as a hobby, and now full-time as her life’s work.
Amanda has an extensive background in wellness and fitness, teaching group exercise classes, and personal training; in both the non-profit and corporate arenas. Over the years she has built relationships, motivated and inspired clients of all ages and fitness levels. She holds a personal training and TRX certification, and has worked with cancer survivors in a specialized program.
With an undergraduate background in Social Work from Meredith College, and a Master’s degree in Education from NC State University, at CORE she is a helping professional. Prior to working in wellness, Amanda spent many years locally in K-12 education.
You can often find Amanda at CORE, laughing, dancing, and yelling “you’ve got this” while teaching a variety of high energy classes including: D.I.G., D.I.G./TRX Combo, TORCH, and the Sunday Special. She’s always looking for recommendations of good music to push harder, faster, stronger.
